The nomination/application period for 2026-2027 is now open!
Dayton Bar Association Nominating Committee
In accordance with DBA Bylaws, the DBA Nominating Committee annually invites Members of the Association to submit their recommendations or self-nominations for future volunteer leadership positions. For the upcoming 2026-2027 Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2026, the DBA is accepting nominations for the following positions:
- Second Vice President Serving one year as Second Vice President before advancing for one year to First Vice President and then serving one year as President (July 1, 2028 - June 30, 2029).
- Treasurer Serve one, two-year term as a Treasurer and sit on the Executive Committee (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2028).
The primary consideration by which all candidates for an open position will be evaluated is a demonstrated history of service to the DBA through engagement with and/or leadership of the DBA Sections, Committees, and/or CLE programs. In addition, our ideal DBA officers will:
- be committed to the DBA’s mission and goals
- have a passion for the legal profession
- work collaboratively and offer accountability, adaptability, innovation, and vision
- be energetic and responsive
- have time and willingness to make the DBA a priority commitment
The election of the slate is held during the 2026 Annual Meeting, June 3rd, 2026 from 4:30-6:30pm at the Marriott University of Dayton..
