The Grant Process

The Board of Trustees meets on a quarterly basis in the months of September, December, March and June to discuss matters of importance. Requests for grants are considered at the December and June meetings of each year.

Deadlines for Grant Request Submittal are:

  •  November 15th
  •  May 15th

Education & Academics

Promote excellence in legal education.

Non-Academic Education

Encourage knowledge and understanding of and respect for the law through law-related citizen education.

Administration of Justice

Improve quality and administration of justice.

Public Relations

Support community projects that enhance the legal profession through law- related activities.

Access to Legal Services

Support the delivery of services to the poor and otherwise disadvantaged.

Assistance to Lawyers

Emergencies, illness, incapacitation.


Promote professional development, civility within the profession, mentoring, office practice and new lawyer training.

Preservation of the Legal Profession

Engage in historic preservation of our legal heritage.

Recognition & Achievements

Recognize individuals and organizations that promote the mission of the Dayton Bar Association.
