Thank you for your interest in the Dayton Bar Association. This is an exciting time to become a DBA member, our permanent home in Performance Place at the Schuster Center is a warm, welcoming and conveniently located space designed to serve our members and our community.

You may be surprised to learn that when fully utilized, member benefits can actually exceed the cost of membership.

Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed and approved by the Dayton Bar Association Board of Trustees. You will be notified when the Board approves your application.

Class of Membership

The Dayton Bar membership year runs July 1 - June 30. Dues based on the year that you were admitted to your first State Bar, even if other than Ohio State Bar.

Regular Dues only include a $15 voluntary contribution to the Dayton Bar Association Foundation, which is tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Remaining dues are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. They may, however, be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses to the extent not allocated to lobbying expenditures.

Committees

Appointment to listed committees is open equally to all members. Service requirements vary, but all committees encourage regular attendance. Most committees meet once a month, usually at noon. Check below the committees you would like to join. Appointment is automatic - except as noted below. Meeting dates are listed online at www.daybar.org and in the Dayton Bar Briefs.
