Dayton Bar Association Offers Interest Groups With Concentration in a Variety of Focus Areas Within the Legal Profession. Committees, Divisions and other groups under the DBA umbrella, offer opportunities for participation, professional growth and personal interaction with fellow members of the legal community.
The Dayton Bar Association offers a comprehensive array of over 30 committees divided into Substantive, Administrative and Service categories. Our committees provide members the opportunity to serve the legal profession and the community, hone their skills in specific practice areas, enjoy social activities and networking opportunities. >Committee members are the backbone of the DBA. Each member is encouraged to participate in at least one committee and you can join anytime during the year!
Annually, Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs are Selected to serve by the DBA President. Committees meet monthly or bi-monthly to provide a forum for educational opportunities, sharing of specific law related information or to plan continuing legal education seminars for the benefit of other legal professionals.
The DBA has formed two divisions for member involvement. These Divisions have a variety of activities or specialties with functional sub committees. The two Divisions are the Young Lawyers Division and the Business Law Division.

Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court
Formed more twenty years ago, the Inn of Court as a membership group, comprised of members of the Bench and the Bar. The Inn of Court meets monthly for dinner and a program team presentation.
