On Friday, November 14, 2008, the Dayton Bar Association (DBA) welcomes Jack Krumholtz, Managing Director of Federal Government Affairs & Associate General Counsel for Microsoft Corporation in Washington, D.C. to Dayton to present the keynote address at the DBA’s 16th Annual Bench Bar Conference. Mr. Krumholtz’ address, “Law at Internet Speed: A New Approach for Emerging Legal Challenges” will kick-off the Miami Valley’s largest legal seminar, which in addition to providing invaluable opportunities for interaction between attorneys and the judiciary, will focus on the issues of key importance to corporate attorneys and in-house counsel. The theme of this year’s day-long conference is “Weathering the Storm: Changing Strategies for Changing Times” and will be held at Sinclair Community College.
Since March 1995, Jack Krumholtz has directed Microsoft’s federal government affairs activities in the Nation’s capital. Mr. Krumholtz and his office are responsible for developing and implementing outreach and lobbying strategies to advance Microsoft’s and the industry’s perspective on relevant public policy issues. Such issues include intellectual property rights, high-skilled immigration, competition within the software industry, broadband, online privacy, and international trade. Mr. Krumholtz is also responsible for developing and managing the Company’s relationships with external groups based in Washington, D.C., such as industry associations, think tanks, and other third-party influentials, to further the Company’s policy objectives. He regularly represents Microsoft in public and with the media.
