Each CLE presentation will be followed by a brief question and answer session. We can only make a significant difference in this community if everyone is committed to recognizing, encouraging, and promoting diversity of all types.

There is a tremendous amount of respect for lawyers and judges in our society, both domestically and abroad. That respect; however, is founded in the belief that our legal system is on the whole fair and provides support and protection for individuals and their rights. I submit to you that our local and specialty bar associations can do much more to improve diversity in this community…if we are committed. The 2010 Dayton Bar Association Diversity Day, while an important and necessary step, is just that…a step in achieving substantive diversity in our legal community. Ultimately, the tools to dismantling barriers to diversity are communication, consistency, and commitment to change.
